Just play the Monster versus Detriot. Mc David needs work on his breakaways, sad one in the shootout last game. Other then that no complains here. Letestu is a breakaway king. |

"What’s incredible is that when he pushes for full speed even as the road is running out. Against OEL they were even at the Oiler blueline, McDavid was 1 stride ahead at the Coyotes blueline, and by the time he shoots in the slot he’s a full sprawled out body and stick length away from OEL. Full speed right to the end with full control of the puck. "
This truly is incredible. I do not remember ever seeing this before...ever. He is some kind of talent McDavid. I also agree with your previous comments that if it weren't for McD, this team would be the "same old same old". Am I the only one that sees Jordan Eberle as a total passenger player? I just never see him leading anything, not in the room, not on the ice, not in interviews, not...anywhere. I like his skillset but he just sort of "exists". I need more from him, he reminds me quite a lot of Tom Gilbert.
I am VERY okay with the Hall for Larsson trade, but I keep wondering if Eberle and some other high end non-roster pieces couldn't have gotten the job done.
Oh well, McDavid IS on our team, Larsson IS on the team, and they're at the top of the table so I won't complain too much, but they could be so much better if one of these turkeys (pretty much ANY of them) could bang in a couple more 2 footers setup by McDavid. There has to be a Rob Brown, Jari Kurri, Chris Kunitz out there...we have to find him. |

Sounds like you just described Brett Hull to me....with less goals of course.
Youre not wrong, that is exactly who Eberle is, was and always has been. But keep in mind he is one of the most prolific scorers at his position in the NHL. We move Eberle were gonna be screaming for a scorer on the right side within a week. |

Yeah, I know. I'm always the stone hands guy standing up in the room female doging at the skilled guys to have more heart, which only produces eyerolls and blank stares. It's a tough balance for sure. |

I can live with Eberle being that kind of guy, but I dont theres theres room for more than 1 like him on this team. Wait for Ebs to be in the playoffs....hes gonna be clutch like he was in the World Juniors. |

Eberle is on pace for just under 64 points
He's got 17 pts. Ties him with guys like giroux, getzlaf, karlsson, benn etc right now
It's ridiculous how little people value his scoring in a league where scoring is so difficult to come by

I think we would like Eberle a lot more if he was a 3 mil per season guy, really could be that clutch guy in the playoffs tho... |

He'd be one of the very best values in the league at that rate!
Name a guy who consistently scores at his rate and gets anywhere near 3 |

He is what he is.
But he's integral to this team
It's an impotent team on the right side without him
And when you're averaging 60-65 over a half decade , you're scoring far more nights than you're not.
If 80 points is the only way respect is earned, then everyone should start railing to trade for superstars like Patrick Kane or Steven stamkos. |

Wouldnt you agree that its the rest of his game that disapoints ? |

Agreed, he stinks. Beau Bennett for Eberle, do it now! |
|
|
|
If he's capable of producing points on his own, as is evident, I'd like to see him play on another line. Playing with Connor doesn't really elevate his game at all like it seems to with Puljujarvi. I want Eberle back with Nuge to get him going. |

For sure
He's weak defensively and not big or strong enough to be a force down low.
But his hands and scoring make up for that. In fact, they're FAR more important than the latter.
We can find a million hard working plugs that'll get us 30+ for cheap. But right wingers that score like him are few and far between
I wish he was a brilliant two way player, but the tradeoff is worth it every day of the week |

If Hall is a band aid, Bennett is a gun shot wound to the head. |
